The Herf Calendar
London to Las Vegas, Tampa to Dortmund: the cigar world's gatherings from autumn 2026 through 2027, with each event's status marked honestly.
The cigar year has a rhythm, and it is set by gatherings: launches, festivals, trade shows, and the great herfs where the industry meets its smokers. What follows is the calendar from autumn 2026 through 2027, assembled from published sources. Each event carries its status plainly: confirmed, provisional, disputed, or canceled. Check before booking. This calendar is refreshed annually.
The cigar year has a rhythm, and it is set by gatherings.
Two kinds of events share this calendar. Trade shows like InterTabac and the PCA are industry business, closed to the public. Festivals like Puro Sabor, ProCigar, and Ybor are built for smokers, with tickets, tours, and tastings. Launches like the Talisman sit between the two: industry occasions with a guest list. Know which kind you are booking before you book the flight.
Cohiba Talisman World Launch, London, 7 October 2026, confirmed
Hunters and Frankau, the UK distributor for Habanos, hosts the worldwide presentation of the returning Cohiba Talisman at the Orangery at Kensington Palace. The event marks Cohiba's 60th anniversary. The Talisman measures 6 and 1/8 inches by 54 ring gauge; first introduced in 2017 as a Limited Edition, it now joins the Linea Clasica as a permanent addition. Tickets were 600 pounds plus VAT, available through participating UK Habanos Specialists; by early September 2026 the event was reported sold out with a waiting list, and around 400 guests are anticipated. Attendees receive a gift box of three Talisman cigars with an approximate retail value of 600 pounds; only 6,500 boxes were produced, exclusively for the UK market.
Big Smoke Las Vegas, 6-7 November 2026, confirmed
Cigar Aficionado's Big Smoke Las Vegas celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, returning to the Horseshoe Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday, November 6 and 7. Two Big Smoke evenings take place on Friday and Saturday nights, with major cigar makers handing out cigars to guests. Saturday daytime features seminars, with the 2026 lineup including the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 Cigars of the Year. Seminar passes are limited and tend to sell out early.
Ybor City Cigar Heritage Festival, Tampa, 6 December 2026, confirmed
The festival's own site confirms the 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, in Centennial Park, Ybor City, Tampa. The organizers claim attendance of nearly 10,000 to 15,000 and call it the largest cigar festival in the world; treat that as the organizer's claim. The event traces its roots to the 1935 Cigar Industry Golden Jubilee and the La Verbena del Tabaco festival, and was revitalized in 2014 by Lisa Figueredo of Cigar City Magazine before passing to her son Rob Aguinaga.
Honduran Cigar Festival, 22-25 January 2027, provisional
President Nasry Asfura announced a new Honduran cigar festival organized by the Consejo de Artesanos del Tabaco de Honduras, with the current plan set for Friday, January 22 through Monday, January 25, 2027, deliberately timed so guests can continue to Puro Sabor in Nicaragua. The event's name and other details were still being worked out at the time of reporting. Treat this as provisional until confirmed.
Puro Sabor, Nicaragua, 25-30 January 2027, confirmed
The 2027 Puro Sabor Festival runs January 25 through 30, 2027, beginning in Managua and continuing to Esteli. Registration opened July 10, 2026. The festival offers visits to tobacco farms and processing facilities with more than 20 participating manufacturers, including AJ Fernandez, Drew Estate, Joya de Nicaragua, My Father Cigars, Oliva, Padron, Perdomo, Plasencia, and Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Tickets are 3,000 dollars for a single attendee or 5,600 dollars for two sharing a room, covering accommodations, meals, local transportation, premium cigars, and festival activities, but not airfare.
ProCigar Festival, Dominican Republic, 16-19 February 2027, confirmed
The 19th ProCigar Festival takes place February 16 through 19, 2027, in Santiago, the Dominican Republic's cigarmaking heart. It includes tours of cigar factories and tobacco fields, cigar tastings, live entertainment, and cigar-friendly meals, closing with a grand finale dinner and charity auction of cigar rarities benefiting those in need in the Dominican Republic. Registration is open at procigar.org.
TPE 2027, dates disputed
Total Product Expo's own attend page promotes TPE 2027, including more than 500 exhibitors and an industry night party, but lists no dates. Trade-press reporting gives February 23-25, 2027, while exhibitor-facing pages give February 24-26. Until the organizer confirms, treat the 2027 dates as disputed.
PCA Trade Show, Las Vegas, 5-8 March 2027, confirmed
The Premium Cigar Association trade show returns to Las Vegas in 2027, running March 5 through 8, Friday through Monday, at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall. Host hotels include the Fontainebleau, Resorts World, and Westgate. PCA 2028 is also announced: March 3-6, 2028, in the LVCC South Hall.
InterTabac, Dortmund, 14-16 September 2027, confirmed
The next InterTabac takes place September 14 through 16, 2027, at Messe Dortmund, Tuesday through Thursday, the first time on that schedule, with opening hours 10:00 to 18:00 Tuesday and Wednesday and 10:00 to 17:00 Thursday. Around 14,500 trade visitors and approximately 800 exhibitors from about 70 countries are expected. InterSupply, NUBIZ, and CB Expo run alongside, with a Cigar Culture Summit among the supporting programs.
Festival del Habano, canceled
The great Havana festival will not take place as hoped. Festival del Habano XXVI was originally scheduled for February 23-27, 2026, postponed on February 14, and officially canceled by Habanos S.A. five months later, making it the third cancellation since the festival debuted in 1999, after the COVID cancellations of 2021 and 2022. The organizing committee said it would monitor conditions with the aim of holding a future edition when possible. No 2027 dates have been announced. Its absence is the calendar's largest hole, and the industry's traveling year will route around it.
A final note: dates move, festivals cancel, and new herfs appear with little warning. Confirm everything before booking travel. The calendar above is accurate to its sources as of late September 2026, and it is refreshed every year.
